ICT Vision

ICT is an integral part of everyone’s life.  At Queen Mary Avenue Infant and Nursery School we value the contribution that ICT can make for the benefit of all pupils, staff, parents, governors and the wider community. Our school actively promotes and utilises ICT opportunities within the whole school structure and ethos and with greatest emphasis on the promotion of learning and teaching.  Our ICT vision is as follows:

Together we aim to harness the power of Information Communication Technology in order to promote a love oflearning, to develop enquiring minds, to cultivate a belief in oneself and a desire to succeed.  We aim to underpin this by supporting all staff, through professional development, and providing tools for collaboration, management and administration.  We aspire for pupils to become independent, resilient and capable learners through the use of resources that can be accessed whenever and whereever they are needed, including from home.  They, as learners, will be able to decide whether and how to use ICT in their work.  They as learners will be able to decide whether and how to use ICT in their work.  We envision that ICT will become embedded and invisible in a personalised, flexible learning environment.  As a school we aim to develop secure, reliable communications and connections with out parents, other schools, the local community and children’s services.
